there are many imitators but only one originator
Introduction

This site aims to produce a complete discography of the early Mo Wax catalogue releases covering 1992 to 1996.
The listings include all the Mo Wax catalogue prefixes MW, MWLP, MWCD, MWSSLP, MWMFW, MWEX & MWA. You will find information such as artist and track listing and more detailed information, where available, including sleeve artists and designers. I have not included the back catalogue reissue series (released 1995) as they are not very interesting.
Each listing is accompanied by photographs. As they are all taken from my own collection you will find that some of the covers are not necessarily in mint condition.
Over the coming months I hope to expand the listings to include releases up to MW100. If you would like to be informed when the website is updated please join the mailing list.

what's on the site

The lists contain all releases with unique catalogue numbers, different sleeve designs, different formats, coloured vinyl, picture discs or catalogued promo items. For example the DJ Shadow - WDYSLL release MW027 has 6 different listings (1 x 12", 3 x promo 10", 1 x CD, 1 x promo CD).
There are some inconsistencies in the way that Mo Wax catalogued it's LP's & CD's in the early days. The first 3 LP's and CD's released by the label were given the MWLP or MWCD prefix. These were released alongside the regular MW prefix 12" series. However the next set of LP's and CD's released were included in the continuity listings of the main MW prefix, an example of this is MWLP025 - DJ Krush - Strictly Turntablised. I have chosen to list them in the way they were catalogued therefore you will find the first three LP's & CD's listed under the MWLP & CD prefixes and the rest listed in the main MW prefix.
You will also find a collection of postcards, stickers, advertising letters, product catalogues and anything else of interest.
