Mw021 - MW030 - Music for mad lifted beat junkies
The third series of ten catalogue releases sees the introduction of the multicoloured printed sleeve. The first three (MW021-23) follow the same design but in different colour ways. We also see the first of many full colour artist sleeves with Futura 2000 designing MW024, 025 & 028. The guest artist theme continues with 3D from Massive Attack contributing to the Headz compilation (MW026) before a return to the full colour printed obi strip on (MW029).
For some reason the label starts to include LP/CD releases in the main MW prefix (MW025 & 26) rather than the previously used MWLP & MWCD prefixes.
DJ Shadow - WDYSLL (MW027) was actually released after MW029 and has an impressive 6 different catalogue numbers.
Again a selection of formats are used - double 10" (MW023), picture disc (MW028P), coloured vinyl 1 sided promo 10" series (MW027 P1, P3, P4), double 12" (MW025 & 028) & triple 12" (MW026).
We also see the first of many 'missing' releases (MW030).
